{"id":278,"date":"2014-04-23T13:27:57","date_gmt":"2014-04-23T13:27:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/aquagamete.webs.upv.es\/aquagameteblog\/?p=278"},"modified":"2014-04-25T07:59:41","modified_gmt":"2014-04-25T07:59:41","slug":"new-training-school","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aquagamete.webs.upv.es\/aquagameteblog\/new-training-school\/","title":{"rendered":"New Training School"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dear colleagues,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The AQUAGAMETE COST Action (aquagamete.webs.upv.es\/web) is pleased to announce the <strong>2<sup>nd<\/sup> AQUAGAMETE<\/strong><strong> Training School<\/strong>.<br \/>\nThe\u00a0<strong>2<sup>nd<\/sup> <\/strong><strong>AQUAGAMETE Training School <\/strong>is aimed towards young researchers (PhD students, young post-docs and MSc students) as well as representatives from industry.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The course will be focused on <strong>Molecular basis of fish gamete quality <\/strong>integrating different aspects and covering topics such as:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8211; Transcriptomic analysis of gamete quality, including practical microarray analysis of gamete quality<br \/>\n&#8211; Gamete quality assessment including practical cytometry analysis and embryonic outcome<br \/>\n&#8211; Scientific conferences on genomics &amp; toxicogenomics, epigenetics, overview of gamete quality issues in fish and shellfish<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The <strong>2<sup>nd<\/sup> <\/strong><strong>AQUAGAMETE Training School <\/strong>will highlight the most recent developments in each topic, promoting a strong interaction between experienced trainers working on different aspects of <strong>Molecular basis of fish gamete quality <\/strong>and trainees.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The course will take place between <strong>23<sup>rd<\/sup> &#8211; 27<sup>th<\/sup> June 2014 <\/strong>at the INRA Fish Physiology and Genomics laboratory (Rennes, France, <a href=\"http:\/\/www6.rennes.inra.fr\/lpgp_eng\/\">http:\/\/www6.rennes.inra.fr\/lpgp_eng\/<\/a> ) facilities and counts with the collaboration of IFREMER and University of Lorraine.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The number of participants will be restricted to 16 persons (<strong>priority will be given to students and early stage researchers with no experience in Genomics and with a professional project related to gamete quality<\/strong>). Financial support from the AQUAGAMETE COST Action (for travelling, meals, and accommodation, up to 800 euros) will be available for trainees.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Registration is available until de 11<sup>th<\/sup> May and both for students (free registration fee) and for industry representatives (300 euros). It includes access to all lectures and laboratorial practices, and support material.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The laboratory is located on Rennes University campus that is easily accessible by regular bus lines. A list of hotels will be provided to participants.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The application deadline is<strong> 11<sup>th<\/sup> May 2014 <\/strong>and complete applications must be sent via e-mail to <a href=\"mailto:aquagamete@gmail.com\">aquagamete@gmail.com<\/a> . Eligible candidates will be announced before the end of May.
